For this initial reading list I will be attempting to hit the top ten books that parents can read to small children. None of these are readers or books like Hello Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, rather they are books that introduce concepts, paradigms or complexity to the neural network development of children. When time permits, I will add individualized reading lists for different age ranges. Without further ado:

– Jonathan Livingston Seagull – Richard Bach

– The Little Prince – Antoine de Saint-Exupery

– Charlotte’s Web – E. B. White

– Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll

– The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe – C. S. Lewis

– Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH – Robert C. O’Brien

– Anne of Green Gables – Lucy M. Montgomery

– Where the Red Fern Grows – Wilson Rawls

– Tuck Everlasting – Natalie Babbitt

– The Secret Garden – Frances Hodgson Burnett
